Name: Ritch Mansfield Location: Everett, WA 98203 Gender: Male Age: 37 Occupation: Firefighter
About:
Former US Marine 1991-1995. Currently career Firefighter for the City of Everett Fire Department in Washington state. Worked construction full time prior to Fire Department and part time after being hired by Everett. Quit working concrete construction after housing market collapse late last year to keep other fulltime friend employed. I’m married and have four kids from my previous marriage. I love cars and love to modify them. I like most all car cultures and plan to own vehicles that fit into many different types of categories. My son and I are rebuilding a ‘69 Mercury Cougar and have a resto-mod goal for it. I have a ‘99 Suburban that’s been lowered 6”. We’ve now decided it needs to lay all the way down on it’s frame rails. The current sports car is a ‘04 Infiniti G35. This car is a daily driver and weekend play car. The modifications to this car are in the interests of performance with reliability. Bolt on intake and exhaust, remap of the ECU, stock sized and compound clutch with lightened flywheel, plus-sized the rubber to 295s for more grip but on stock size 19” rims for ride and handling, Brembo brakes already on board from the factory. Getting slotted but not drilled rotors. No twin turbos, no NOS, no remotely adjustable suspension, no extra fuel cells and valving. Just plain reliability.
Mission Statement:
Drive hard. Drive smart. Win.
About My Team:
Driver: Former USMC. Enlisted in Desert Storm, spent three years in Hawaii after the war at Kaneohe Marine Airbase. Now over nine years with Everett Fire Department in Washington state. Worked many long hard years in construction. Met my co-driver with a concrete company and worked together for over five years. When I'm not driving my little red sports coupe I drive a big red 47' long 73,000lb Ladder Truck for the fire department. I can drive anything and drive it fast. I've broken more Hummvs in the Marines than most people have ever sat in. And yes a Hummer can go sideways when entering the freeway... Current notable cars are '69 Mercury Cougar, '99 Suburban lowered 6" now looking for the ground with air bags, '04 Infiniti G35. I drive sideways any time I can and I will be the main driver and driving any paved challenges. I will excel and do it with style. Co-driver: Worked in automotive retail and sales after high school. Had been doing concrete construction for over 8 years and worked up to foreman until the recent financial collapse and mortgage crisis. Now back working sales after too many months on un-enjoyment looking for work. Cars have included Nissan 240, VW Jetta GTI, '53 GMC 3/4 ton, Nissan Hardbody 4x4, lifted and modded for off road. John will be driving any dirt challenges and will exceed at them. We both have an affinity for fast cars and driving them that way. Neither of us can afford a true race car and SCCA type events. Our finances limit us to running on the streets and parking lots for fun. No car we own is stock and all work has been done by us. Our work history shows we definitely know the meaning of hard work and perseverance.
