About:
I started racing 4 wheelers when I could barely walk. My dad raced 3 wheelers and had a Yamaha Dealership when I was younger. After a while he got beat up and old and we switched to water toys. My dad's best friend (my other daddy) bought a cigarette boat and we'd race on the water. We also played with drag boats. I was all about horses and Vet Med growing up and competed in rodeo and didn't really get into cars until my mother got a '94 Mustang GT and I drove it. I raced a local car guy on the street and that began my addition to 4 wheels. With my dad's help I began my racing career. I got a brand spanking new 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 and my dad and I began modification. In 2001/2002 I won the Midwest Street Racing Association's EFI Championship. As the first female to win a race, let alone the whole season I was well known in our area. I went on with that car to run mostly for fun while I was in school. My dad's best friend then decided he missed the need for speed and just watching me race and he got back into racing. At this time he has 7 or 8 1969 Camaros that are all completely rebuilt and mostly used for show. One of them we have raced (my dad as crew chief) has run in the 7's in the 1/4. Around the Kansas/Oklahoma area we have a hard time finding a track that will allow us to run the full 1/4 and not just the 1/8. In 2004 I took a job as an IT contractor and was sent to Afghanistan and served there for a year as a civilian. While there I bought an '89 Mustang fox body. I have had a love of the fox since high school and I have built several, but they were never mine. So I finally found one that was fully built, minus motor and tranny. The paint was in bad shape, but with my dad and dad's best friend being professional body/paint guys it wasn't a big deal. My dad's best friend and my dad have had their works displayed in numerous magazines and have done work for several professional athletes. In 2007 they were asked to design a car for the SEMA show. There were 2 made and one of them resides in Oklahoma in a museum. So I bought this mustang and had them go get it while I was overseas. Shortly after I got a divorce from an import guy (I should have known) and was forced to sell my beloved Fox Body. My ex-husband had gone to a dealership shortly after getting married and traded my much loved Trans Am in for a JEEP! I went through several different cars including a Subaru STi and a Dodge Charger before trying out my luck on 2 wheels. I fell in love with "Crotch Rockets" and started playing in the 2 wheeled world. I got a Yamaha R6 and started with it. Pretty soon I got bored just running around town and took it to the track. That was the biggest rush ever!!! Always more of a speed freak than a "draggin' a knee" person I started at the tracks. After 2 years I sold the R6 with the intention of getting an R1 and really hurting myself and it just never happened. I bought a 4 door and started getting "old". I have been in talks with my other daddy to drive for him as he is getting older and doesn't want to race anymore, but still wants his cars out there. Just cuz I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't drive ;) I make boys cry
