About My Team:
We actually met each other while street racing. We were young and not very smart (well at least Sean wasnt very smart). While I was in college Sean got into some legal trouble for speeding, racing, etc.. After that the street racing days were over for us. We then started going to the local drag strip and I started doing most of the racing. Sean may disagree, but if we lined up against each other I would bust his ass! We have competed in Hot Rod magazines Drag Week event for the last 3 years in a row. We actually got married and went on Drag Week as our honeymoon, yep, 2500 miles, 5 different dragstrips in 5 days! That year I actually came within .0006 of a second from winning my class. So I know what its like to come in second place by an unimaginable amount of time. We love all cars that are different or out of the ordinary. There is nothing better than having a car that is way faster than it actually looks. Sean is an automotive performance technician (he helps people with problems on cars with forced induction, blowers turbo. etc). I am an Auto Insurance Adjuster. I look at wrecked vehicles and make sure they get repaired properly. Sean has done some dirt oval racing. Yes, I have been the white trash wife screaming in the stands while her husband races around the dirt track in cars that look like they belong in a demolition derby. We have also both participated in autocross events. We have 2 little boys and they are a handfull! The car is a 1963 Ford Fairlaine Ranch Wagon. We purchased it sight unseen from a body shop in California. It was all stock but did have the green paint job already on it. Sean started collecting parts and he had it up and running in about 6 months. The car will probably never be finished but we drive it, race it, and beat on it as much as we can. Sean is very good at knowing what it takes to make a car fast AND reliable. We could jump in it today, drive it across the country, race it when we get there, and then drive it back home. This car is a driver, not a pampered show piece, we try to keep it looking as nice as we can but we still get a lot of enjoyment out of driving and racing it.
