My guess from that brief clip is that they might have been hauling some serious ass and (to them) the ditch came out of nowhere. In a scenario like that i could understand them being upset. Especially if it plays out that they had to go first on the course. Then of course the other 2 cars would crash. They know what comes after the fence and can adjust.

Bingo! We were never given the opportunity to inspect what was after the fence.
