About:
I graduated from Colorado State University in 1995, and joined Bandimere Speedway in 1996. I have won three track championships in my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. I built the Barracuda for more of a cruiser, as the Roadrunner is a little "too much" to drive comfortably on the street anymore. I am married, and have two children - Dylan and Lauryn. We come from racing family. My wife has a Vega bracket car, and has been as quick as 8.70 @ 160 mph. My brother-in-law has a Dodge Stratus competition eliminator car (Pro Stock) that run's low 7's. My mom and dad bracket race, as well. My co-pilot, Jim, has a 1969 Satellite and has won a track championship, as well. Mission Statement:
Team Sipes is prepared push the limits as we meet the challenges of Bullrun. We plansto attack the competition utilizing our bad-ass hot rod, abilities, and talents to succeed at Bullrun, while maintaining integrity and respect for the competition, the show, and ourselves.
About My Team:
Jeff and Jim Sipes are brothers from northern Colorado. Jeff works in marketing at Bandimere Speedway, an NHRA sanctioned drag strip in Denver, Colorado. Jim used to be a mechanic before returning to his roots on the farm. We are both championship winning drivers at Bandimere Speedway. We have always been 'gear heads' and have participated in car shows, drag racing, car clubs, event coordination, show judging, and attended many other automotive and racing events from truck pulls to NASCAR, and drifting events to the PRI and SEMA shows. We applied to be on the 1st season, and have been watching and waiting for an opportunity to be in the next show. We are thankful that SPEED Channel picked up the show and will allow Bullrun to live!

My Biggest Strength:
Simply, we have a balanced attack. We feel we have a very solid vehicle for any of the challenges and able to conquer the road, knowledge and expertise with hot rods to overcome tests, and the passion and competitive edge to win. After school, our lives took different direction, but this will be a strength for us to have a variety of skills and expertise to utilize during BULLRUN! |
