2009 New York - Austin

The 2009 Bullrun rally began in New York City. The Bullrunners arrived at the Gansvoort hotel in New York’s meatpacking district, and had a chance to relax before the mayhem of Bullrun began. Some notable cars on the grid this year were; the SLR McLaren of Texas brothers, Josh and Zack Kerr, the decommissioned California Highway Patrol car driven by Team Wu, The Porsche (Techart) GT Street of Team CEC, numerous Ferrari’s, Lamborghini’s and a Koenseigg CCXR. Kim Kardashian started the rally in a truly glamorous fashion, and the drivers headed off to the Monticello Motor Club in the state of New York. Bill Goldberg and his wife, Wanda, took the lead in the Bullrun Shelby GT and were the first team to be pulled over by the police. The rally visited many well-known cities along America’s East-Coast as well as some of America’s hidden gems. The rally stopped in Pittsburgh, Staunton, VA, Nashville, Atlanta, Destin, FL, New Orleans and finally Austin, TX. Along the way, the Bullrunners stopped off athe Talladega International Speedway for some hot laps, took in a crazy party in Staunton, VA, one of Bullrun’s favorite little towns, dined at some delectable restaurants and had one hell of a good time on the road! Team Wu were upping their pranking game from last year; fake license plates, motor oil on the engines of some teams, tracking devices and tampering with other teams’ cars. The Bullrunners of ’09 learned never let the Wu’s out of their sights! As usual, the Bullrun Navigator Award was on many teams’ minds. The two top dogs, Rawlings and Claus, were battling it out since day one, but Rawlings and Collins edged out Claus and Joaquin on the final day and took home the Navigator Award.
