2007 Montreal - Key West

For the first time, a Canadian city was chosen as the official start line for the most glamorous rally in the world. Old Town in Montreal served as the perfect launch point for the rally. The weather was great, and the crowds were large. On the grid in the fourth annual Bullrun rally were: Claus Ettensberger of CEC Wheels, driving a Techart Magnum (variant of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo,) Richard Rawlings driving with his buddy, Dennis Collins, in the Ferrari 550 Marinello, Justin Thompson in the Shelby GT-H Safety Car and Mike Musto in the angriest 1968 Dodge Charger on the planet. Other notabe cars this year were: The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, numerous Ferrari F430’s, 599’s and 612’s, Team Darkcyd’s Lamborghini Murcielago and a Budget rental truck driven by two brits whose race-spec car was not allowed into Canada. The rally left Montreal in a fury of speed with Nicholas and Annabelle Frankl of Team Twins up front. The rally winded its way down the East Coast, stopping in: Boston, Atlantic City, Staunton, VA, Savannah, Orlando, Miami and finally Key West. Along the way the rally saw an incredible party hosted by Girls Gone Wild, multiple track events, a drifting demonstration by world drift champion, Chris, Cooke, speedboat rides and a lot of crazy adventures along the way. During the 2007 rally, Bullrunner, Jay Riecke bet Richard Rawlings that he couldn’t beat Brock Yates’ record from New York to LA. Rawlings and his co-driver, Dennis Collins, took on the challenge, and successfully set a new world record of 31:59. The Bullrun Navigator Award was claimed by the most competitive driver in Bullrun history, Claus Ettensberger and his co-driver, Joaquin Meija.
