Robby Gordon

Robby Gordon is an American racecar driver who currently competes in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as an owner-driver, driving the No. 7 Mapei Dodge Charger for Robby Gordon Motorsports, and also competes part-time in the Nationwide Series. He has also raced in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Champ Car, Indycar, Trans-Am, IMSA, IROC and Dakar Rally. Gordon is regarded as one of the best road course drivers in NASCAR. Along with Tony Stewart, Joe Nemechek and Michael Waltrip, Gordon participates in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as an owner/driver. Robby Gordon joined us for the 2011 rally from Las Vegas to Miami. Robby brought his SPEED Energy Dakar Rally Hummer H3 to the start line, and drove it all the way to Scottsdale on the first leg of the rally. Because the vehicle is impractical for road rallies, he piloted a preproduction jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 from the second driving leg on. Robby Gordon was one of the most competitive Bullrunners we have ever seen! He drove his SPEED Energy team to a second-place Bullrun Navigator Award finish, meaning that he and his crew reigned navigationally superior over all but one team.
