James Hewitt

James Hewitt is a former British household cavalry officer in the British Army. He had an affair with Diana, Princess of Wales for five years, receiving extensive media coverage after revealing details of the affair. He served as a Challenger tank commander in the Gulf War, and failed his exam for the rank of major three times. In 1994, he was retired from the Life Guards after 17 years in military service. Hewitt joined Bullrun in 2005 with coo-driver, Ryan Dunn of the Jackass series. Together they drove a Loncoln Navigator rental car from Los Angeles to Los Angeles on Bullrun's first West-Coast Loop. James often took the wheel in the driving legs and pushed his Lincoln to its limit. With his military experience, Hewitt was able to sneak past the pack and consistently place high in the standings. Hewitt and Dunn received an award for placing second out of five teams competing in a British television series following the Bullrun rally.
