What exactly is "Bad-ass?"

I hear a lot of people say this or that car (or truck, or whatever) is "bad-ass."  For the sake of those that are not that familiar with the term, I'd like to ask the members of Bullrun to objectively define it. 

Pick a vehicle of your choice, as an example of either, and explain.
