The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.   

Hey guys, my name is Trevor in case you didnt know.  Well i figured i would try to start this blog thing so why not start with something I know.  And I know my Pontiacs. Unfortunatly my pontiac wont be in season 2 and as far as I know team solitude may be the only pontiac in bullrun this season.  It will be interesting to see what that little solstice can do.  Now when the show is airing im not sure who i will be cheering on yet, and I bet none of you guys do either.  I see myself cheering on for one of the superfans who, like myself have been on these forums since the airing of season 1.  So we will just have to wait and see.

Well as we all know a Pontiac Trans Am won in season 1.  Luckily i got the opportunity to meet the drivers of this car ans see the car in person.  Mike is a very smart guy and I think his smarts is a huge part of what won it for them.  He knew how to use the radio to communitcate to the other teams. and he knew what to say and when to say it.  He might have pissed a few people off in the process.  But hey it worked.    Morgan, well we all know she is beautiful, plus she has some driving skill. and i think she might have kept her dad in line a little.     and that trans am.  well let me say this, me and 2 friends of mine drove 4 hours away to go to Layaffette Indiana, to a car dealership called Mike Raisor Pontiac for a Bullrun Meet N Greet that they had organized.  Some people thought i was crazy for driving that far to go to this.  Well at that time I had took my 1989 Trans Am GTA and me and my 2 buddies pulled in the parking lot early that morning.  We were the first ones there.  we waited about half an hour and then down the street I seen that hot red trans am with the bullrun sticker on the hood pulling in along with a black charger, a blue bmw, and a big whit ford f-150.  I couldnt get my eye off that trans am,  the windows were tinted very dark, i could not see who was driving.  anyways my point is its an impressive car.

The Alsop's Trans Am generated 430 corrected horsepower at the rear wheels.  With their 150-shot of NOS running who knows then. This trans am was really moded out.  not stock for the least bit. suspension, breaks , you name it they changed it.  However they kept it reliable.  They kept the gas mileage up as best as they could.  and of couse they picked the right car for the job, A Trans Am.  Its a car that just isnt awsome at one thing, but its good at alot of things. why do you think Burt Reynolds Picked a trans am for smokey and the bandit.   Because you just cant go wrong with a trans am.    Why do you think they used a Trans Am in Knight Rider in the 80s,  well the same reason.

Now the car of my choice for bullrun, when my time comes is the same as the Alsops. however im on the other end of the timeline.  They used a 2002 when my Trans Am is a 1971.  Now even back in the 70s beleive it or not the trans am was made to corner and drag.  Back then it was still a car that wasnt awsome at just one thing, but good in alot of areas.  Plus the trans am has always had style.  If you ask me it is the best looking car of all time. 

My 1971 Trans Am has pontiac's famous 6.6 Liter 400 small block. this is puttin out close to 400 H.P.  it is linked with a Tubo 400 automatic transmission, with a shift kit installed.  now this car has a few mods to it but nothing to crazy.  I wanted to keep a stock look to it, and keep reliabile.  I love driving this car,  Its always a thrill.  just the roar of the motor, and the exauhst. Seeing the Shaker Scoop Move every time I hit the gas. and the way this car launches ...its just a thrill.   I know this car would put on a good show for bullrun.

So guys I guess all i can say is I hope this season of bullrun will be entertaining, and I hope that some of us will get casted for next season.  And if you happen to see this car at the starting line you better be ready to bring it !
