A co-driver should be someone close to you (family or close friend) that you trust. Though trust is hard to come by, anyone close to you would be best for this category. Also, make sure that they're actually interested in doing the bullrun, if they just want to be on TV, forget it.

I agree, if you can't sit next to that person for 12 plus hours a day without killing each other its not going to work out. A good co driver is a hard thing to find. lol.

Yeah, no doubt it's tough to find people in your life to trust.  I'm 40 yrs. old and I probably only have about a handful of friends that I would truly trust, ya know with serious stuff in life.  Now you would have to find one of those guys to be available and also willing to do this bullrun event.  No doubt, it's tough.

Ya, it can be difficult. Not only does yer codriver gotta be in line with your way of thinking, they also gotta be willing to spend three weeks away from home and work to spend alotta time in a car. Sometimes, ya get lucky, and sometimes ya get a swift kick in the arse, and ain't there no telling what it'll be till y'either got the first place prize, or yer kissing the sidewalk.

What's even better is when you ask someone to be your co driver and they ask "what do you get for being on the show?"

You tell them.. "Actually I don't know. They never told us what the winners got last season."

Then they ask what you get if you don't win. "It's a TV show you gotta get paid something for being on it right? They make a lot of money off of a show like that."

Then you tell them... "Nope you don't get anything AND there is a chance that you will total your car and be out in the cold, but suck it up... Lets do it and kick everyones ass!"

I love watching their face at that point.

Well, those of you that were involved in the NY thing, know how wishy washy my co-driver is.  I've decided he's not the person for the job, cause all he is interested in was the TV spotlight.  Nothing else.  So, I'm still lookin.

If there is a local car group or car discussion/meeting group going on in your town, that may be a good place to find a worthy car nut/co driver.
