BULLRUN 3 (SPEED TV)
MANY ARE HOPING TO MAKE THE CUT
Well, Its been two weeks since the B-runners heared that the casting had begun. Some of them have recieved requests to join in the casting of Season 3. Now like always the sound of silence has fallen over the site. It is like a gay parade has went and marched through a southern baptist church on sunday no less. I know I am also fighting the urge to go deep and silent. Keeping to myself during this casting party also. But Aaron going silent would have everyone wondering if I was dead or on a plane to see Andy in LA first hand. (I have thought about it and would do it if I thought it would help.) So I am here tip toeing around the site like I always do, staying to the back not raising to much stink. (RIGHT)
Many B-run teams are not saying anything as it might offend the casting staff or the producers of the show as they start to thin the herd this season. Most of them are just waiting and really staying silent. They type a quick thought or two on the site while they wait kicking up the smallest of dust on the site. We'll see the numbers from this point forward start to grow. More fans will be popping back in acting like they have been there all along. Those of us that know the truth will be a little nicer to them as not to upset our hope for a run. No matter what, we all shall know What, Where, and Who? very soon.
Still I wonder just what is going on in that California office. Our friend Matthew found a post that was from MetalFlower Media (Bullruns casting Company for season 3) that said "that casting would finish next week." If that is true then a few dreams are going to come true for a few fans while others will have to sit at home waiting for another season to approach again. I posted an update on my count down thread about them needing fresh pictures of the teams trying out this season. The B-runner teams started to post them on that thread and I was happy to see the joy on all those teams faces as they hope for a starting line spot. It still amazes me that more people from around the automotive world haven't before found the amazing Bullrun. It is still a fringe sporting event that seems almost beyond the reach of the average fan. But it isn't it is there for you to grab onto and squeeze that joy from. You just have to keep reaching for it.
I know as the week drags on and the weekend aproaches all the teams that have been contacted are waiting with buzzed nerves. Hoping that the next email will be telling them all is well and they want something more. We will scramble here and there collecting whatever is asked of us. I have done that Bullrun dance many times over these last few years. I have even tried to second quess what they wanted next only to trip over my own hopes. I have been where many of you are now in this casting pool and I to find myself in that same boat again with you today. My hope hasn't faded over those years but it has from time to time wained a little. (like when I found out that a Bus beat me last season). But I stayed true to my goal and like they say Hope springs eternal. For many of us this is why we keep at it. Hoping that ANDY DAVID & BILL will see the power a bunch of crazy wild fans could bring to the brand. So we hope and wait for that next email or phone call telling us to come on down.
