I wish I could go. I was at the start of BR 2008, but NY is a looong way to go for me to see the Bullrunners off. I truly wish that I could go, but the chances are slim.

i wont be at the starting line but would like to see if they have a leg near midwest so i could run for a day or 2 need to look at stops to find out like running down the coast line just cant make it 2 ny that week with my odd schedule at work

i might be able to make the start. i'll have to check my schedule. i'd love to run with them on my way back home from there.

Wish I was closer to Austin to catch the end...

I really want to, but I don't think that the route runs near wisconsin..... Otherwise i'd make a weekend out of it. 

I would like to go. I have to see if i will have a vehicle done to make the trip.It would be cool to run with them for a leg or two.

I might be there only around 5 hour drive from here, if my job isn't to hectic by then. Might stay over in Jersey and bus over like we usually do when going to NY much easier that way. Plan on taking hundreds of pics. Where do most of them party at the night b4?

I just got the email invite to attend the launch party.  I applied, hopefully I get picked.

I wish I could go to the pre-rally party, but since the minimum age is 21... well, I can't. It's times like this when I wish I was older... you guys are lucky! LOL!

When you're at the start, see if you can get some decals from Andy. You'll blend right in with the rest of the Bullrunners.

If I'm there too, we could do a commando mission the night before.  Then we will plead ignorance when two teams are wondering where all thier stickers went while they look at are cars with the shoddy half-assed sticker job.

I did that !@#$ at Nazareth Speedway during the last Indy Car race held there. We went around and cut down all the banners like we owned them. I was yelling at my boys "hey make sure you fold that neaty and don't fuk it up this time" We got three Budwiser & two Marlboro welcomes Race fans. I hang them outside for my summer parties.

My brother and I will most probably show up with the Hurst/Olds, we might be with Alsop if he decides to come.

That was my plan, I live 40 miles from Austin.   Unfortunately I'm not sure they are going to tell us exactly where the finish line is.

To Recon1, that's kinda what I was thinkin, so I figured I would just drive over a day early and just start driving around the city, it's not real big, not like NY, and start looking for Bullrun setup trucks and cars and maybe start asking people in the area if they got any info.  It's probably gonna end up down town near all the hot spots.  I'll find it!  We could meet up somewhere if you want.

That's true. Plus the Bullrun finish arch will be set up and bullrun banners and flags will be all over. It shouldn't be hard to spot. They'll probably end up coming in from Dallas.

Yea, I live 5 blocks off of I-35 so if they are coming from Dallas they will probably pass right by.   I"ll leave early that morning to look around Austin and find the line.   Yea we can meet while we are there Jonnyb,  I'm sure between the two of us we can find the finish.

To recon1, i'm still up in the air if i'm going to vegas that weekend or goin to austin.  I will let you know if I will be hangin in Austin.  If I end up in Austin I need to visit the place I bought my vette, Corvette Palace.

Have you been to Texas Auto Sports?   Vette, Lotus, and Alpha Romeo.   They have some really nice autos.   If you pass through Temple I'll show you the classic car lot here, they have some really nice restos.

 

I'm planning to attend but have never been before.   I'm ordering my decals tomorrow and have been told that I'm one of 24 cars to drive with the rally cars.  Could you give me some information on what to expect?  Do you know if there's a hotel that everyone is staying at?

I was told that I was chosen as 1 of 24 cars who would have decals and would drive with the rally cars out of NYC.  We're not doing the entire rally to Austin, just out of NYC.  I'm a newbie to all this so I have no idea what's going on, lol.
 

I've been trying to get information from Grace at Bullrun about everything.  I need to book a hotel but have no idea which one to get if there is even a room left.

how did they contact u or had u even heard of bullrun before??
