No, when I tell people what we are doing they say "oh, there is a rally based off the tv show?"  I always have to say, no, it is the other way around

Do they then ask you when the Rally will be on TV or tell you they have to record it?

There's a rumor that the Bullrun 2009 rally will be aired (partially) on SPEED. Bullrun may have reached an agreement to show some clips from the 2009 rally on SPEED. This has not been officially confirmed though so don't hold your breath.

Me being a huge Bullrun fan am VERY frustrated when people ask what the difference is between the reality show and annual rally. For those of you who don't know, please read the "about bullrun" section on the left hand side of the screen. Is it really that difficult???

for one you need a large amount of money to participate... How much is it to enrol?

How do I get on the show?

After spending the entire weekend out on the boat, I'm fried. Completely, and 100% FRIED.

One of the office gals gave me a little pat on the back today. I got tears in my eyes. We wore SPF 30... This weekend, I'm going back out with SPF 80!!!!

 As if I walk around all day saying things that have no relevance?

Yep everyone I talk to thinks it costs 20,000 to get on the show..  I dunno, I just let it go anymore.  everyone it tired of me talking about it anyways... can't wait to sit and actually talk about this !@#$ with people who care.

Let me see? I have been telling the world the Bullrun story weekly for 4 years. I guess some people just can't read or don't care to learn about the history of this great rally.

Just wait till scott, tony, trevor or I start to get asked if we were in the rally or tv show after seeing our cars.  I haven't concluded what my answer will be yet.

I don't have that problem. I've been following the Bullrun since 2004 so all of my friends knew what the Bullrun was before the show came out. All I had to say to them was "They have a show based on the rally." and everyone gets the jist of it.

Only place I have to spell it out is HERE of all places.

I just say it like this... The rally is a crazy run. The show is just that, A SHOW made for TV.

The rally costs 1/3 - 1/2 of your annual salary.

The show is free and has an unknown prize for the winners.

The rally you only win bragging rights.

The rally anyone can get into if you have deep pockets.

The show you have to be chosen and can be a broke ass to participate.

The rally is 1 big challenge.

The show has challenges through the day.

The list of differences goes on and on...

My preference? I'd prefer to run the rally, but would gladly acept an invitation to be on the show.

I put off joining this site for several months because I thought you had to pay 20k to enter the show.

Joined within 5 minutes of finding out otherwise.

LOL! So used to telling people there IS a difference - cuz like it was mentioned, broke ass comes pretty close, and I ain't got a snowballs chance in hell to come up with $20,000 "Just to get into a race"  - though it would be pretty exciting to be a part of that too!

It's much worse for those of us in the starting grid only...

ME: I am going to the starting line of the Bullrun Rally. I was invited to be on the starting grid this is going to be really cool.

Them: GREAT so I will have to tape the show and see you on it.

ME: This is the Bullrun Rally is has nothing to do with the the TV Show. I am very happy to have my car on the grid and get the chance to meet all the Teams in the Rally and see their cars.

Them: So you aren't on the show? How many teams did they pick?

ME: This has nothing to do with the TV Show it's the Rally that is run every year. It's what the Show is based on.

Them: So did they vote on the cars in the show and you didn't get enough votes to make it?

ME: Nevermind I going to the beach on the 11th.

Sounds like a new type of challenge for the rally or next season.
