MASTERS of Bull Run!

So I am thinking the show is getting huge! Maybe we suggest they think outside of the box. I have posted this on other forums, but figured I would put it out here for feedback..
How about doing 4 regional shows? North, South, East and West. That would get 48 of us in! Then take the top three and have a "Masters of BullRun". So 48 get in and 12 get in twice. Think how important each leg and challenge would be!
Then you can do all the Hollywood stuff, have past contestants at check points and stuff.
Just a thought. What do you think?
24 vehicles with a driver/co-driver each.
Get paired down to 12 (2) vehicle teams.
Vehicles are polar opposites. A Diesel pickup with a mini cooper. A Lambo with a Honda. A Corvette with an Avalanche.
When the challenges come around, the 2 teams have to figure out who is driving. If it is a dirt challenge, throw in your dirt car. If it is a road challenge, throw in your road car. You lose, both teams go home.
Okay.. Maybe not. How about just get 20 teams and do a full 20 episodes? :)

However you need to consider that they would have to air 40 or 50 episodes, that is a lot more air time to sell to sponsors. Adding teams will serve to increase the per episode costs. (additional chase teams, meals, lodging, film, editing) All those costs cut out of just 10 episodes of sponsors. More air time is more time to sell.
Fact is I would be stoked to be the 14th team just as much as any of us. Just looking at it from different angles is all.
