Hondas aren't my thing. My uncle on the other hand knows a lot about Honda engines. And since Spoon Sports ONLY does Honda engines, and I don't touch them, I wouldn't have run across them.

Funny thing about the Spoon built engines that I came across, they even say they aren't for high HP. They are built for balance not power(very Japanese of them). And of course their JDM's only produce around 200HP. Which is respectable, and reasonable. 11.5 to 1 compression is a bit high for 87 octane though.

dev... how do you build an engine with spoons?   Think I'm gonna request the chopsticks!

i worked with this one guy that was all up on honda's.him and his brother(meaning his brother)had a honda famous hatch,with all the crap you can do to it,and he said it did a 9.80 in the 1/4.then i asked him how much money it took him to get there,he said about $28k,sad.then after work i beat his VTEC accord with my super slow 97 all stock 2.2l cavalier.some imports are fast though,alot more that aren't though,just thinking thier car is fast is a diffrent story though.

INTAKE lift - 11.99 mm,duration -269 @1 mm

What's the base circle cut on? That's what I'm really wondering... but if you don't know, that's understandable....

i basically left all the machine work to the shop and i put it together

speed freaks in tracy california tuned it

But machine shops don't cut cam base circles?..... Do you measure anything when you put it together? Or is plastiguage your friend lol....

i never said they cut the cam circle......they did however have to machine cam seats for the stage 3 cam

no...i run 87 octane and have it tuned down i run 110 to get 500

i also have a t64 turbo kit im going to install on it but i like the stand off injectors and independent throttle boddies....sounds awsome at that rpm...plus with the turbo my tuning guys say i will only have an 11,000 rpm redline :(
